The Johannesburg Philharmonic Choir is located in Kensington, Johannesburg, South Africa. Our membership is between 20 and 30, but we are always ready to welcome new members.  We rehearse at Jeppe High School for Boys in Good Hope Street, Kensington on Wednesday evenings from 7pm.

Our director is Mrs Janet Swart (TTD, BA, UTLM, LRSM, FTCL) and our accompanist is Mr John Brodrick (BA Hons, STD, LTCL, LRSM, UTLM).

Our repertoire consists of a mix of classical, classic and popular music from all eras. The choir has established itself as a niche performer in popular entertainment and does not limit itself to any particular genre or style of performance.

The objective of the choir is to present the highest possible standard of a broad variety of musical works for the pleasure of audiences, and in so doing, enable choir members to obtain fulfilment and enjoyment from singing.

If you can sing or have choir experience and wish to be part of a dynamic choir then please contact us via our "Contact Us" page.
